TVR Chimaera 400 1999

A turn of the key and the rumble of the engine.
 
That in itself exemplifies ownership of a TVR. You don't even have to drive it to fall in love with one, the initial experience is all it takes.
 
This particular Chimaera 400 is a complete stunner. Recomissioned 3 years ago by us here at Jags Classic, the car underwent a full refurbishment. Everything from the bodywork and chassis, to the mechanicals, to the interior was brought up to scratch. The car features a fully custom Nappa leather interior, with no stone unturned. The soft-top was also replaced. 
 
The current British expat owner is a complete TVR nut, having owned and rebuilt multiple units back in the UK. Living in Johor and far from a TVR mechanic is no obstacle as he carries out all mechanical and cosmetic work on the car by hand. Various bills are available for the parts purchased and installed since he took over ownership of the car back in 2015. Dare we say, this Chimaera came back to us better than when it initially left the showroom.
 
Such is the meticulous detail that the owner has even supplied new suspension ball joints as he has noticed the ones currently installed are showing initial signs of wear, with minor cracks. The new ball joints are ready to go in as soon as they're needed.
 
This Chimaera features the newer facelift front and rear lights, along with a beautiful grey exterior finish. It came fitted from the factory with uprated AP Racing brakes for better stopping power - definitely needed with that monster up front!
